

He enjoyed living in Colorado to the fullest. He enjoyed skiing and had been a member of the Schussbaumer Ski Club. He climbed all the 14ers and some of the 13ers. He ran the Mt. Evans Run three times. He also enjoyed running and camping. Fred was a handyman and a voracious reader. He had a great interest in history.
Fred retired from Public Service Co. of Colorado. He was united in marriage to Diane Chmielewski in 1981.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia Ramussen; and brother, David Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Raber; sisters, Mary Ann Weishapl (Bernard) and Roberta Mason (Kurt Jansen); brother, Robert Mason, Jr.; nieces, Aubrey Ruby and Alli Ruby; nephews, James Weishapl and Josh Weishapl; in-laws, Adeline and John Chmielewski, Ron (Marci) Chmielewski, Debbie (Scott) Taubin, John (Melissa) Chmielewski, Cole (Laura), Kyle, Connor, Carter, Cory, Nikki, and great-niece, Gracie.
