He graduated from East High School in Denver. Married Bernice Bewley on April 26, 1949. And will be joining her again at Ft. Logan on their anniversary.
George worked in engineering and forecasting for Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph, later to become Mountain Bell from which he retired. He was active in the Masons and at Highland Park Presbyterian Church.
George is preceded in death by his siblings Randal, Frank, Chuck, Ed, Janice and survived by his sister Lorena Hall. He is also survived by his children Gregory Garland (wife-Michelle), Susan Senser (husband-Marty) and Lynda Green (husband-Phil); grandchildren Becky (husband-Ben), Jared, Garret (wife-Ashley) and Annie; and finally, great grandchild Grayson George Garland.
