

George Jude Vialpando was born April 20, 1935, to Maroos Issaic Vialpando and Rosa Cordova Vialpando in Trinidad, Colorado, He passed away April 29, 2025, at home in Arvada, Colorado. At the age of 90 from AML leukemia.
The first years of his life he lived in Tercio, Colorado. It was a coal mining community owned by CF & I. It is now a ghost town. George's father ran the company store and the family lived upstairs of the store. After his father's death his mother and siblings moved to Pueblo, Colorado. He attended Pueblo Catholic High School. Than graduated from Creighton College in Omaha Nebraska. He attended Creighton because his brother Arthur Vialpando was attending medical school there. He lived with Arthur and Mary Lou Vialpando. He was always a Blue Jay and Denver Bronco fan. He served in the Army National Guard
After college he moved back to Colorado. He worked for Aleyan Lindsey, Harry Van Hummel CPA firms, Gulf Oil Company for several years, contracts work and eventually retire from CoBank in 1999. After retiring he did income work for clients and family.
In his first marriage they adopted three beautiful children. Charles Richard Vialpando, Anne Marie Vialpando and Susan Mary Vialpando.
When he was doing contract work for Coors Energy Company he met Maryellen Hruska Tennyson. They were married on September 26, 1986. They spent 37 wonderful years together. George is survived by his wife Maryellen Vialpando, son Charlie Vialpando daughters Anne and Susan Vialpando, stepdaughter Jo Ellen Lantz. Grandchildren Robert Charles Vialpando, Robert Thomas Lantz, Nicole Lantz, Mallory Powell and Ryan Schue, and great grandchildren.
