He was born in Rockville Centre, NY, on August 20, 1927. He graduated from East Rockaway High School in 1946, then attended Bullis Prep School in Silver Springs, MD, before joining the U.S. Marine Corps in Quantico, VA. There, he played as quarterback and running back. Guy transferred to Denver in 1963 with Frank Briscoe Company as general contractor for the US Air Force Academy Field House. He ended his career as General Superintendent with MA Mortenson in 1998. Some of his most esteemed accomplishments are Coors Field, Grand Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Complex, Boeing Assembly Facility in Wichita, Kansas, the Aerospace Data Facility at Buckley Air National Guard Base, and the A Concourse at Denver International Airport.
Guy is survived by his children: Gary, Rita Hummel (Neil), Stephanie Prochilo, Shelley McQuade and Vanessa Klinker (Dennis). His brother Thomas Page (Margaret); his grandchildren, Joseph Prochilo, Christopher McQuade, Lorna, Claire, Emma and Tessa Hummel, Gabrielle and Adriana Prochilo, James Brueggemann, Skylar, Berlyn and Deona Klinker, Kayla McCollister.
Guy was preceded in death by his parents Gaetano Prochilo, Rita and Tony Page and two grandchildren Nicholas Guy and Rachael McQuade.
Viewing will be Friday, March 16, 2018 at 6:00 pm and Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 17, 2018.
