89, born September 21, 1928 in Brighton, Colorado to Charles and LaVerda Higgins. He passed away peacefully on May 30, 2018 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He is survived by his loving family; son Jack (Susan) LaBonde, son Jerry (Susie) LaBonde, daughter Jill (David) Soucie, and a daughter Judy (Ken) Soulia, 7 grandchildren; Tyler (Crystalyn) Soucie, Joe (Laural) LaBonde, Katie LaBonde, Keenan Dunn, Cody Dunn, Charlie LaBonde, and Susie LaBonde, 2 great grandchildren; Ava Soucie, and Frederick LaBonde, his beloved friend and companion, Marilyn Martin. Howie was preceded in death by a son Charles Walter Higgins, and his parents.
A private family graveside was be held on Wednesday June 6, 2018 at 10:00 am, at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge. A celebration of his life will be at 2:00pm on Monday June 18, 2018 at Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church, 920 Kipling St., Lakewood, CO 80215 with a reception to follow.
