Janet L. McCall

Janet was born in Lexington, Nebraska on March 29, 1934 to Mary Alice and Neil Halker. She was a graduate of Johnstown, Colorado High school and attended 1 year at the Children's Hospital Nursing program. She married Donald McCall May 28, 1954 and they soon had 4 children. They had an adventurous life together moving many times for Don’s job. They lived in 7 different states and even 2 years in London, England. Janet talent, love and faith made every house a home filled with decorations and love. Janet was a member of Rocky Mountain Christian Church in Niwot, CO. In her early years, she was a leader in the Christian Youth Association and continued to be involved in and support many ministries like: CBN, 700 Club, Marilyn Hickey Ministries and many women ministries.

Janet passed away at her home in Broomfield, CO at the age of 82 on January 21, 2017. Her husband of 62 years, Donald McCall; her children, Sheila (Thomas) Lawson, Michael (Laura) McCall, Karen (Don) Lawson and Jerry (Teresa) McCall; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild will miss her. She is also survived by her brother, Neil (Dixie) Halker. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, John S. Shultz and sister, Carolyn R. Shultz.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery's Chapel of Peace. Interment will follow at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery. A celebration will be held following the service at the Aspen Lodge, 16151 Lowell Blvd in Broomfield, CO 80023. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Rocky Mountain Christian Church, 9447 Niwot Rd, Niwot, CO 80503.
