Doris Jean Buzick, age 84, passed away June 17, 2016. Jean was born November 12, 1931 in Christopher, Illinois. Family was the center of Jean’s world throughout her life, along with her pets. She loved her friends and neighbors and was an avid gardener and reader. Jean is survived by her daughter Kathleen Buzick, the son she never had, Ken Karnes, her four legged companion Molly and her four legged grandson Bandit. She was preceded in death by her mother Kathleen Gaston, step father Chuck Gaston, husband Merlyn D. Buzick, sister Barbara Jordan, brother-in-law Les Jordan and nephew Kent Jordan. Jean was a loving, compassionate and generous person who enjoyed life every day and had the gift of good health and sharp mind to the very end. Funeral service will be Friday, June 24, 2016 at 3 pm in the Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace.
