Jennie Mares

She was born March 28, 1927 in Hastings, CO. Jennie is preceded in death by her husband Joe Albert Marez, son Steve Lopez, daughter Peggy Lopez and grandson Shawn Hendrix. Those she has left to cherish her loving memory are her children; Tony Hendrix (Correan), Jeannette Walton (Scott), Rita O'Hara, Bill Mares (Robyn) and Stephanie Chavez (Dwayne); grandchildren Domonick Mares; Lori Ford, Steve Farthing, Kevin Farthing; Patrick Hendrix, Kyle Hendrix; Meshelle Bruce, Leesa Mares and Heather Sledge; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 sister Jessica Callinicos and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jennie had two great loves in her life, Jesus Christ and her children. She loved being involved in and serving at her church. Jennie enjoyed cooking, sewing, entertaining, traveling, decorating, dancing, camping and fishing. The family would like to give special thanks to our dear sister, Stephanie, for the loving and sacrificial care she provided to our Mother, for numerous years and to Gracia Hospice for providing home Hospice Care during her final days.

Due to the Covid-19 guidelines, only our immediate family is permitted to attend the service and interment. However, the Service will be broadcast, at 1:30 p.m. (MST), on Facebook Live as 'Jennie Mares Memorial Service' while it transpires.

Funeral Service will be on Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, 7777 W. 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033

Interment to follow at Olinger Crownhill Cemetery.
