Born on February 15th, 1950 to Red and Mary Raney, Jerry grew up in Colorado with his sister Shirley. Always enjoying working with his hands, Jerry worked as a welder in his younger years.
With the passing of his father, Red, Jerry then took over his family business, R&M Sales and Rocky Mountain Testing Center. R&M Sales is a journeyman linemen supply store which was started after Jerry’s father Red lost his hand in a lineman accident. The Raney family was passionate about providing safe and effective equipment to all journeyman linemen. Jerry owned and operated R&M Sales until his passing.
A reliable dad and grandpa, Jerry spent his later years visiting his grandkids up in Wyoming where they would show sheep for 4H and chop down Christmas trees in the Rocky Mountains. Jerry enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, collecting rare rocks and minerals, and visiting the local hot springs.
Jerry is proceeded by his father James “Red” Raney and his mother Mary Raney. He is survived by his sister Shirley, his son Rick, and his three grandsons Jonah, Joshua, and Joseph.
