Joanne was a lifetime member of the Lutheran Church and was married to Reverend John Petersen. They had three children; Becky Jo, Brian and Paul. Joanne enjoyed being the wife of a minister. She taught Home Economics in public school for years. She also taught adult Bible classes at church and played the organ.
Joanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Reverend John Petersen and her son Brian. She is survived by her daughter Becky Jo Petersen; son Paul Petersen (Nicole) and granddaughters, Harley and Kate, and her siblings; Bud (Marcia) and Shirley; along with many other family members and friends.
A memorial service for Joanne will be held on Monday, March 11th, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2100 Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, Colorado. With internment to follow at Crown Hill cemetery on 29th and Wadsworth at 2:00 p.m.
