Joseph Alton Titus, 99, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024, in Arizona. He was born to Katie and Joe Titus in Liberal, Kansas on September 25, 1924, the youngest (and only boy) of eight children. Joseph served in the Navy and was a World War II veteran. He married the love of his life Norma “Jean” on June 28,1943, and moved to Arvada, Colorado in 1956. He was a meat cutter for King Soopers where he retired and went on to be a USDA Inspector. He was known as Joe, Dad, Granddad, Uncle Al and was loved by all. He was the epitome of a gentleman, polite, kind, and always there for anyone that needed him. He was a huge Broncos fan and never missed going to a game come rain or snow for well over 50 years. He loved all dogs, and they loved him. He enjoyed drinking margaritas with “Pardon” as he called it. One of his favorite activities was taking long drives and eating ice cream which he did up until his last day. His motto was never stop moving and it is a motivating philosophy many will live by because of him.
His wife Norma Jean and daughter Theresa Gail Titus-Murphey preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia Diana McHatton and son Joseph Alton Titus Jr. and six grandchildren Kelli Koros Peters, Daniel McHatton, Christina McHatton Hernandez, Bevan McHatton, Kerri Koros Riley, William McHatton.
