Joy Scruggs-Thigpen, age 91, passed away November 17, 2017. Joy was born September 4, 1926 in Childress, Texas. Joy is survived by her three children, Forrest Scruggs Jr., Sheree Scruggs-Landwehr and her husband Rick, and Brett Scruggs and his significant other Audrey Bleich, and three grandchildren: Tyler Landwehr, Lauren Landwehr, and Morgan Bleich. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Forrest Scruggs Sr., and her second husband, Elijah Thigpen. Joy was the owner/operator and broker for her own real estate company. She loved to travel and traveled all over the world throughout her life. Her greatest happiness in life was spending time with her family. Funeral service will be Monday, November 27, 2017 at 11:00am in the Olinger Crown Hill Pavilion of Reflection; visitation will begin at 10:00am. Arrangements under the direction of Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, Cemetery & Arboretum, Wheat Ridge, CO.
