Katri S Oksa, 83, passed away from the effects of acute respiratory failure in Arvada, Colorado on March 2, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born in Milton, New York to Onni Oksa and Saimi Helin Oksa, immigrant parents from Finland. She was very active in sports at Cobleskill High School, especially in cheerleading. Katri was a loving mother to her three sons and for many years was dedicated to her work with the state of New York until retirement. She loved gardening, socializing and tending to her cats. Katri met life’s challenges head on and always had time for family and friends. She embodied her Finnish heritage through her cooking and spoken expressions.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Harris; as well as 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sons Kenneth and Robert Harris.
A small service will be held in late June
