Missing Leila.  She made a difference in the lives of many young people at the University of San Francisco.  May she be enjoying paradise.

Leila was a gentle force. I worked for her for a bit in the ESL program when I was a student. She was generous with her time, care, and she introduced me to a number of memorable and interesting people.

USF was lucky having her guide so many of us.

Sincere condolences to Leila’s family and friends. She was one of a kind.

Leila is one of the best memories I have from USF.  As a student I worked part time in ESL.  She introduced me to some foreign students and we became life long friends.  I was delighted when she came out to California a year or two before she died and we had a very nice lunch at Benihana restaurant.  She was a very wise woman who is definitely missed.

Rest In Peace, dear Amma Leila Kellow ... your friends and family will miss your voice, your laughter, and the generosity of love that you showed to all of us. May you reunite with all of your departed loved ones in heaven ... know that you will never be forgotten on earth. You left a mark on everyone who got to know you. We will celebrate your life on 8/11 just as you wanted it: your way! I will forever remember your theme song: “My Way,” Frank Sinatra, because it’s how I run too! Love you! ✝ ❤️💐🙏

I am so saddened to learn of Leila's death.  Initially, Leila and I met at the Denver Public Library, 1973. At that time, Leila had recently earned her MLS degree from the University of Denver. I was a part-time clerk at DPL, as well as a full-time student at Regis College. 

We, coincidentally, discovered  that her dear friend, Father Jack Teeling  S.J., was also one of my favorite professors at Regis. What followed was a delightful forty-five year friendship. And, we never lost touch during her academic career and years at University of San Francisco. On her return to Denver, we were together, once again, in our various roles at Regis University. 

Oh, dear friend,  mentor, and colleague, I will miss our many visits, excursions, and reminiscences.  Your kindnesses and affection  will remain in my heart. 

A sweet and genorous heart may have stopped beating, but a gentle and beautiful soul has ascended to heaven. Rest in peace, dear Leila! 

Though aunt Leila had several medical issues and her health was in decline.. still we were shocked by her death.. just last Thursday me and my cousin Ziyad (together with the rehab center physiotherapist) took her to her home to be assesed and see what kind of support and modifications need to be done in order for her to go back home safely. (something she wanted badly!) 
But.. fate had other plans..! 
she left a big hole in our hearts.. with her wit.. love and readiness to jump in and offer her help to any family member.. friends or even strangers..
Dear Auntie Leila.. we will miss you and remember you forever.. may your soul rest in peace.., ❤️

It is my deepest sarrow to know that Leila is gone.   I met Leila at IEP of University of San Francisco in 1990.  She was a super lady and she helped me out in many ways.  I am truely thankful for what she has done for me.  Leila will always  be in my heart.  Rest in peace and hope you met Fr.Teeling and other friends in heaven.  Love you.
