

She was born in Sterling, Colorado on December 13, 1929 to Otto Henry Sewald and Mary Catherine (Kloberdanz) Sewald. She was the eldest of 13 siblings and attended St. Anthony Catholic School in Sterling.
Throughout her life she worked as a waitress, for Gates Rubber Company, Samsonite Luggage Company and as a professional house cleaner-including lending her services to the Carmelite Monastery. She enjoyed painting, bowling, word-search puzzles and bird watching. She also watched the news regularly and kept up with the current events of the world.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings. She is survived by her four children: Judith Lynn (Priday) Rodasta, Melody Ann (Priday) Judish, Tamura Marie (Priday) Kaler, and Mark Edwin Priday. She also leaves behind nine siblings, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary and Cemetery 7777 W. 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO. Interment will follow at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery at 10:30AM.
