I am so sorry to be so long in writing this..  I was energized by my sister Jonni's  recent visit with David and Patty.
Our family lived next door to Lu and Sonny for several years while I was in high school.  She was like a big sister to me during those years.  Being the oldest child in my family, I was sort of "lost" at times.   I remember spending many hours with Lu (I called her "Mrs. Land" then) talking about teenaged "stuff" and having her fix my hair.   I also got to babysit David when he came along.  He was such a cute and fun little guy!
Over the years I kept up with Lu through my mom, and even got out to Colorado with my kids one summer to see her.
I enjoyed looking through the pictures in the obituary and remembering the ones taken when we lived next door.  I have many happy memories of my times with her.
