

She is survived by her children, Jane (Vic) Smith, George (Susan) Patrick, Kent Patrick and Pat (Audra) Patrick. She is predeceased by her husband George, daughter, Joan Mulligan, and Joan’s husband Pat. She had eleven grandchildren Peggy Van Sant Henningsen, Michelle “Shelly” (Matt) Rickard, Terry (Sally) Clapp, Patrick Clapp, Orillia (Jeff) Mulligan, George “Mickey” (Karen) Patrick, Kimberly “Kimmy” (Wesley) Patrick, Heather (Trevor) Gaston, Shane (Kecia) Patrick, Amanda (Michael) Hake, and Ryan Patrick; great grandchildren, Meagan, Aaron, Dan, Syrianna, Xavier, Makayla, Ashley, Brittany, Star, Alexandra, Brian, Desirea, Rin, Xavier, Norah, Waylon, Trenton, and Henry; and great-great grandchildren, William, Hazel, and Winter.
Margaret was born in Ericson, Nebraska, on July 11, 1928, one of nine children born to Charles and Mary Davlin. Margaret graduated from Spalding Academy in 1947. She worked at the Spalding Hospital through High School and was a teacher at the Country School in Ericson. During a lunchbox fund raiser for the school, Margaret met George, her husband of 70 years. They were married in Leadville, Colorado on May 24, 1948.
Margaret held a variety of jobs during her life. She worked for Montgomery Wards as a catalog clerk, waitressed at several restaurants, cooked at Peck Elementary in Jefferson Country, and, finally worked as a custodian until she retired from Jefferson County in 1986. Margaret and George had a long and happy retirement together, traveling the continental U.S. and spending time with family and friends.
A visitation will be held at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery on Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Rosary will be held Monday, July 22, 2019, from 10:30-10:50 am at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 3900 Pierce Street, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, 80033 with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am. Peggy will be laid to rest at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery, Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Following the services, a reception will be held at Crown Hill.
