Mildred Bea Ryle died peacefully at Porter Hospice in Centennial, CO on July 18, 2017 at the age of 98. Bea is survived by her daughter Judith Westlake of Summerville, SC, her grandchildren Dana Hammond of Highlands Ranch, CO, Denise Berridge of Lakewood, CO, Gregory Westlake of Summerville, SC, Rebecca Anderson of Summerville, SC, and Angelica McAneny of Cannonsburg, PA. She is preceded in death by her husband Ladd E. Ryle and her daughter Beverly Ryle.
Bea and Ladd settled in Colorado in the early 1940's from Gravette, Arkansas to seek a better life. They fell in love with Colorado and never looked back. They loved the mountains, which they called "the hills." Bea was a lifelong avid fan of the Broncos and the Rockies. She was an active and beloved member of the St. Gregory's Episcopal Church and a woman of deep faith.
A memorial service will be held at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church at 6653 W. Chatfield Ave., Littleton, CO 80128 on Saturday, July 29th at 10:30 am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bea's life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Porter Hospice at Johnson Center in Littleton, CO.
