Nancy Jean Willis

Nancy J. Willis born in Denver, Colorado to Ralph & Gertrude Halverson on August 20, 1934 and died May 23, 2024. She was the last living sister of brother Ron Halverson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gregory & Kathy Willis and son Gerald Willis. As well as two Grandsons Jerrod & Jason Willis and a Nephew Bill Pardee and a Niece Sherry Knafo.

Nancy was a native Denverite who graduated from West High School. She worked at Rocky Mountain Orthodontics for many years. She also worked at National Camera for several years. Ending her career at First Trust which she retired from at 62.

Nancy had many hobbies throughout the years she was fun loving & frisky. Nancy was always an animal lover, over the years they had two Goldens (Nugget & Kelly) and four miniature Schnauzers (Katie, Hiedi, Shawn & Willy). She loved jewelry and lots of crafts including flower arrangements and yard art. Her backyard was full of Gnomes, flowers, windmills, bird & squirrel feeders. The squirrels loved Nancy; they would come to her kitchen & living room windows begging for food. We're not sure if the squirrels had her trained or she had them trained. Her & Kenny loved fishing & camping. Ken & Nancy traveled for 20 years in their Fifth Wheel after they retired. They traveled to various states in the West with the Palm Springs area being their favorite in the Winter months. In the summer they would head to Blue Mesa outside of Gunnison to fish for their favorite Kokanee Salmon & camping. Always returning to their home & her lovely backyard in Lakewood, Colorado.

The last several years of her life she loved going out to Breakfast for Waffles & Sausage. Nancy and her companion Marie would go to Breakfast and then hit her favorite Dollar Store a couple days a week. Other mornings Greg & Kathy would take her to Breakfast or bring her some of her favorite fast food lunch favorites. Jerry would take Nancy to the Dollar Stores and to her favorite fast foods restaurants. Jerry spent special times with Nancy watching her favorite shows, especially Nascar racing & Shark Tank. She loved her fast food. Nancy had all the solar powered figures for every Holiday. Her favorite Holiday was Christmas, she would deck the entire house out in Holiday decorations.
