Nathan was born Nathaniel Edward King on the evening of November 8, 1986 at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He lived in Arvada, Colorado throughout his childhood years, attending Thomson Elementary, North Arvada Middle School, and Arvada Senior High School. He graduated from high school in May 2005.
He joined the Navy in the fall of 2005, shortly after graduating high school. Upon his return from service, he began working in the disaster restoration industry as a technician. In 2014 he moved to New York City and worked as a Project Manager at a restoration company on Park Avenue in Manhattan. He enjoyed his time in New York but was missing Colorado and moved back in 2015.
In December of 2018 Nathan was involved in an horrific accident, shattering his left shoulder and foot. Over the next two years he bravely fought through numerous surgeries and physical therapy and was just recently able to return to work. During his recovery, he reconnected with an old friend, named Amy Elizabeth Johnson, whom he quickly realized was the love of his life. By 2020 the two moved into their own home, and by February 2021 Nathan proposed and she joyously accepted. Nathan and Amy had plans to get married, start their life together, and have children.
Nathan is survived by his father Wayne King, his mother Gynette Uhl, his step-father Karl Uhl, and his sisters Jewel King and Mallory King.
