

Norma Elaine Martinez, neé Jernberg, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, went to be with God after a long illness on March 7, 2025. She was 86. She is survived by her children Teressa (Danny), Dale (Linda), Raydel, and Joe; her grandchildren, Nikki, Jacki (Scott), Michael (Annabella), Madison (Seth), Wyatt, Victor (Gina), Jessica (Kim), Preacher, and Brother; and her great-grandchildren, Joey, Jaycee, Briella, Daniel, Lila, and Leif. She also had numerous people she lovingly adopted into her family.
Preceding Norma in death are her husband Ray; her daughter, Carrie; her son-in-law Michael; her brothers Nate, Dale and her twin Norman; her sister Edna; and her parents, Carl and Mildred Jernberg.
Norma graduated from Jefferson High School in 1956. She married her husband, Ray, on November 29, 1958. They had five children together. Norma went back to Metropolitan State University of Denver for her degree in social work in 2001. Norma loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidering, and solving jigsaw puzzles. Writing was her greatest joy.
Her family will be holding a viewing on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Beth Eden Baptist, 2600 Wadsworth Blvd, Wheat Ridge, CO from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. The viewing will be followed by a traditional service at 6:30.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cem, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm, at the Elks Club, 5700 Yukon St.
Flowers may be sent to the mortuary at Crown Hill Cemetery, 7777 W 29th Ave.
