He is survived by his wife Charlene, step-son Charles (Brianna) Blea-Burns, granddaughter Lacey, mother Willa Marie Peoples, and aunt Sarah Sykes. He was preceded in death by his father Brooks Peoples.
Perry Peoples was born in St. Louis, but grew up in Aurora, Colorado. He attended Regis University for his undergraduate degree in business administration and followed that with a Master’s degree in Project Management. He worked for Empower Financial for most of his career.
Perry was known for his laughter and his bright smile and intimidating presence. He was the kind of person that everyone was drawn to. You were better for just having spent any amount of time with him. He had so many hobbies, and was so talented. His cooking is legendary and was sought by many. Though never formally trained except by his parents, his natural talent was a gift he loved to share. He always said how happy he was when he could make others happy with his cooking.
He also was an avid Philatelic and Numismatic. He was a lifetime member of the Philatelic Society. He also knew how to cross-stitch and has many beautiful pieces. He was a gifted gardener with flowers and vegetables. He loved playing softball and when he could no longer play, he became an umpire and loved every minute of it. He recently had a hip replacement surgery so he could continue to umpire.
Please share your memories here of how Perry touched your life as reading your stories brings much comfort. He will be missed by so many, but none as much as his wife.
