Robert Harry Nielsen (Sweed) passed away Friday February 6, 2026 he was 92 years old. Bob was born August 18, 1933 in Denver. He was the beloved and only son of Harry and Dorothy Nielsen. Bob had six sisters Mary, Ann, Cathy, Peggy, Janice, and Cookie. He was born and raised in North Denver where he met and married the love of his life Mary Lou Nielsen. Together they had four children Debbie (Doyle), Tony (Kathy), Susie (Bill), and John. Bob has twelve grandchildren, numerous Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren. As well as many numerous nieces and nephews. Bob served and was very proud of his time in the US Navy. He spent most of his career at Public Service Co. (Xcel) in the Gas Department. He enjoyed visiting each state, and spending time with his family.
