Bob grew up in an Air Force family and spent time as a child in Newport News, Virginia; Emory, Texas; Las Vegas; Okinawa, Japan; Eglin, Florida; Little Rock, Arkansas; Edwards, California; and Denver, Colorado. Bob was an Air Force man himself, having retired from the armed forces at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant after 26 years of service. Bob then spent 21 years with the Bureau of Reclamation as a Power Plant Operator at the Hoover Dam.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Lyn of Henderson. He is also survived by three sons, Jerry and wife Darci of Denver, Steve and wife Sarah, also of Denver, and Mike of Las Vegas; four grandchildren, Ella, Brady, Gus and Joe, all of Denver; father Dean of Aurora, Colorado; and five siblings, Janice of Elk Grove, California, Ric of Lakewood, Colorado, Joyce of League City, Texas, Ralph of Evergreen, Colorado and June of Aurora.
Bob was a busy man and enjoyed drawing, painting and working in his yard. Bob could fix nearly anything and would go out of his way to fix things for his friends, family, neighbors and innocent bystanders. He also enjoyed trips to Hawaii and visits to friends and family in California, Arizona, Texas and Colorado. Bob spent his life exercising an insatiable intellectual curiosity and he will be dearly missed.
