Sandra Kay Adams of Greeley, Colorado passed away peacefully at the age of 73 on May 18, 2021 surrounded by her 6 children. She was born on November 27, 1947 in Denver, Colorado to Nadine and Floyd Betterton. She married her highschool sweetheart, Eldon Ardell Adams, on November 19, 1964 who preceded her in death in 2008. Our beloved mother loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren, she adored her companion/dog Sassy, and she enjoyed volunteering at the LDS Temple. She was a lifelong member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She attended, most recently, the Ashcroft Ward in Greeley, Co.. Sandra loved the color purple and her favorite flower was an orchid.
For most of Sandra’s life she was a stay at home mother raising her 6 children. While raising her children she also fell in love with the beautiful Yorkshire Terrier breed and began to breed and show her prized yorkies. Her dearest Yorkie was her champion, Curtis. Sandra also worked part-time jobs in her later years. All of her part-time jobs were service positions for those in need such as an Elderly community, bus driver for a nearby nursing home and was a caretaker at a Memory Care facilitator. Sandra really enjoyed working for the local school district as one of the “lunch ladies” as well. Sandra also volunteered at the newly built LDS temple in Northern Colorado. All of these positions suited her servant heart.
She will forever be remembered as a loving and compassionate Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Friend. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Ardell Adams, grandson Jacob Allen Lauver, parents Nadine and Floyd Betteron and brothers Kenneth and Buddy Betteron. She leaves behind 6 children, daughter Tamara Kay Marsaglia husband Joseph Marsaglia, daughter Melissa Ann Sedillo husband Rene Sedillo, daughter Stacy Lyn Losinski-Erikson husband Joel Erikson, son Jason Eldon Adams wife Amanda Adams, daughter Amie Noelle Shea, son Aaron Ardell Adams.
