Sharon Ann Pound

Sharon Ann Pound, age 83, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at her home in Arvada, Colorado, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Born on October 21, 1942, in Denver, Colorado, Sharon lived a full and vibrant life rooted in family, faith, and adventure.

A proud graduate of Aurora Central High School, Sharon went on to build a successful career at Capitol Federal Savings. Over the course of two decades, she served as assistant branch manager, earning the respect of colleagues and customers alike through her dedication and professionalism.

Sharon's life was deeply enriched by her devotion to her family. She shared a loving marriage of 66 years with her husband, Kenneth Pound. Together they raised three children: Lori Arnold (Brian), Alan Pound, and Cindy Schuricht (Brad). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—David Gaskill, Melissa Olin, and Grayson Arnold—and her great-grandson Logan Olin. Sharon also cherished the bond she shared with her siblings: brother Burl German Jr (Sherry) and sister Sandra German (John). She held close the memory of her parents, Burl German Sr and Doris German, as well as her brother Mark German.

Faith played a central role in Sharon’s life. She was an active member of her church community where she sang in the choir and participated on the softball team—expressions of both her spiritual devotion and joyful spirit.

Sharon embraced life with enthusiasm. She loved traveling to new places and spending time outdoors skiing or dune buggying—activities that reflected her adventurous heart. But above all else, she treasured time spent with family. Whether gathered for holidays or everyday moments, those times were the ones she held most dear.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Neighborhood Friends Church, 9889 W 66th Ave, Arvada, Colorado 80004. Reception to follow.

The graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, Colorado 80236.
