Soledad Millan de Mendoza

Soledad Millán de Mendoza (o Ma-chole como sus nietos le dicen) nació el 1 de diciembre de 1932 en un pequeño barrio llamado Morelos del pueblo Ignacio Zaragoza, Chihuahua. Ahí creció con sus padres Mariano Millán y Francisca Amaya, actualmente quedan 3 de 7 hermanos. Desde pequeña ella le ayudaba a su papa en la tienda familiar y era muy inteligente para las matemáticas.

A la edad de 17 anos se casó con el difunto Jesús Mendoza. El matrimonio duro más de 50 anos y sobreviven 8 de 10 hijos procreados. De Mayor a menor son Eoralia, Elvira, Maria Elena, Isidro, Rosario, Manuel, Armando, Guillermina, Marisela y Javier. Tuvo 23 nietos, 45 bisnietos y 14 tataranietos.

En 1977 se mudó a la ciudad de Chihuahua, Chihuahua con su esposo y sus hijos más pequeños ya que los mayores estaban casados. Todos los días madrugaba a limpiar su casa y a disfrutar de su jardín temprano en la mañana.

En junio del 2002 su esposo murió por enfermedades crónicas, pero aun que quedó viuda, ella continúo viviendo en la casa que su esposo le dejo por muchos años más. A pesar de que no era mucho de su agrado Ma-chole venia para Colorado varias veces al año a visitar a la familia.

A sus 87 anos al ya no poder vivir sola se mudó para Colorado donde sus hijas se turnaban para cuidarla. Al principio de su llegada no le fue muy bien ya que tuvo varias operaciones, pero como toda una guerrera se alivió pronto y siguió siendo la mujer fuerte que siempre fue. En abril 2020 fue un mes de mucha importancia para ella porque tomo una de las decisiones más importantes en su vida y eso fue de recibir a Cristo como su señor y salvador.

Ma-chole fue una mujer muy querida, a ella le gustaba mucho ayudar al prójimo en todo lo que ella más podía. Aunque la vamos a extrañar muchísimo sabemos que ella está en paz disfrutando del reino de Dios y nos quedamos con el consuelo de que algún día la volveremos a ver.

Soledad Millán de Mendoza (or Ma-chole as her grandchildren call her) was born on December 1, 1932 in a small neighborhood called Morelos in the town of Ignacio Zaragoza, Chihuahua. There she grew up with her parents Mariano Millán and Francisca Amaya, currently there are 3 of 7 siblings left. From a young age she helped her father in the family store and was very clever at math.

At the age of 17 she married Jesus Mendoza. The marriage lasted more than 50 years and 8 out of 10 children survive. From oldest to youngest are Eoralia, Elvira, María Elena, Isidro, Rosario, Manuel, Armando, Guillermina, Marisela and Javier. He had 23 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

In 1977 she moved to Chihuahua, Chihuahua with her husband and younger children as the older ones were married. Every day she woke up early to clean her house and enjoy her garden early in the morning.

In June 2002 her husband died of chronic illnesses, but even though she was widowed, she continued to live in the house that her husband left her for many more years. Although it wasn't much to his liking, Ma-chole came to Colorado several times a year to visit family.

At 87, no longer able to live alone, she moved to Colorado, where her daughters took turns caring for her. At the beginning of her arrival, she did not do very well as she had several surgeries, but as the warrior she was, she got better very soon and remained the strong woman she always was. April 2020 was a very important month for her because she made one of the most important decisions in her life and that was to receive Christ as her lord and savior.

Ma-chole was a very beloved woman, she liked to help others in everything she could. Although we will miss her dearly, we know that she is at peace, enjoying the kingdom of God, and we are left with the consolation that one day we will see her again.
