  I am so very sorry for your loss.  Steve truly was a great man and he will be missed by many.  He has left us all with so many great memories.  It was a joy to know him. You have my deepest sympathy.

   Words can not describe how sad I am today I've known Steven from day 1. I was there when he was born. from the moment I saw him, I loved him. Since that day we did lots of good things together. Ithink I tought him how to fish. Together along with grandma "T" We would get in my car and go fishing and picknicing. We vacationed together, we visited McDonalds frequently, that was his favorite thing to do. before we went to bed at night, we would would lay in bed, with window open to listen to the crickets. He loved to scare me with grasshoppers, water snakes and daddy longleg spiders. So now I have to remember all those wonderful memories and I'll be ok. Steven was a remarkable husband, father, son and grandson. He was wonderful... I will keep you in my heart and prayers,always. I'll be seeing you one of these days, you wait for me. Monica and Family,
I was so very sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I had the priviledge of working with him for several years at Sooper. It was always a joy to see his smile every morning. Not only was the smile on his lips, but in his eyes. There was never any doubt that his family meant the world to him and that was what his life revolved around. 
I know words can not ease the sorrow of losing him but please know how very special he was to so many people and the impact he has had on our lives.  The way he lived his life and showed others was a wonderful example to all of us.  I think your daughters are truly blessed to have him for their father and the memories they will have.
May God be with you daily and give you strength, especially during the times you miss Steve.

What an outstanding young family man Steve turned out to be. The entire family is so proud of him, and will always remember him as just that. Steve's young life was indeed a blueprint for all young men starting a family.

Monica & girls,  I never had the pleasure of meeting your husband, but I did meet you once at a party at Sandra's house. Being Sandra's sister I have the pleasure of her talking all the time about her dear friends at work and their families and one of the most talked about is Monica and her husband Steve.  She was so fond of Steve and the friendship she had built with your family.  She was so devastated when she heard Steve had become sick and as the year, months, weeks, days and hours went by until he was called home to be with the lord, she prayed and asked our family to pray for a miracle as she seen him becoming more and more ill.  I spoke with her the last two days before he was called and she was so sad for you and your girls and how devastated you would be and I told her I understood that all of your wishes would be that he not leave you, but what about him and the suffering he was going thru was it fair to him and she agreed he had suffered enough and if it was time for him to be called home the most rewarding result would be he would no longer be in pain.  So you see the miracle did come, because he is no longer suffering he is at great peace now and though it may not seem fair right now to you and your family because he was such a great man, husband, son and father just be at peace knowing he is a great angel up above and is looking out for his family even more now because his main focus is on you all now and he does not need to share that time with any of the hustle and bustle of every day life down here. I am dearly sorry for your loss and I know god will give you the strength to continue on the life that your husband wanted to live while he was here with you and your girls. I give you these few words in hope of encourgement on behalf of Sandra as she is very concerned about what the future holds for you and your girls  and to help you make it through this most difficult time. I remember going out to Pueblo for the 4th of July weekend with Glen & Debbie Steven and Juju! We stood down his Grandma Shirleys. FUN times! He offered conference room space for our meetings with parents when we were under construction. Over the years he kept close tabs on us offering his services.  I found him to be such a nice and caring man. I have much respect for him and he spoke highly of his family.  My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family, not only today, but as time passes.

Steve was one of the finest young men I ever had the pleasure to know.  He had a ready smile and laugh and was courageous, inquisitive and charming.  Steve loved his family very much.

Dear Monica & Family,
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I wanted to share with you that when I started with SCU, Steve would come out to the Aurora Branch every month to present the sales meetings. Those meetings were, by far, my favorite.  Steve was so good at getting us all excited to sell and at teaching us to turn negatives into positives. He was always so upbeat and happy. 
Later in my career I moved to the Call Center and was appointed as Chair Person of the Youth Advisory Board. Last year, Donna and Steve took me to lunch to give me pointers on leading the meetings. I remember feeling a little intimidated and nervous at the beginning of lunch because of Steve's self confidence and sense of style. But before we received our food, he had both Donna and I laughing and I relaxed. I wish that I could have had more time learning from him, he was a great mentor.
I find comfort in believing that God must have been in need of a special angel. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Little did I know hiring Steve would have been one of the best hiring decisions of my career.  One quickly learned working with Steve he was ambitious, loyal and a very proud family man.   It was heartwarming to see his face light up when he spoke about his family.  Steve's genuine smile and unwavering love for life and others was infectious.  Steve will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him!  Monica, I hope you can take comfort in knowing your husband and the father of your children was an amazing man and positively impacted so many people's lives…by just being Steve! Dear loved famiy, I like to believe that when we lose a loved one to us they still live through us and give us strength. The time we have spent with those we've lost makes them part of us... Seeing this obituary is so unreal, Steve was such a blessing to everyone he came in contact with. It is just so hard to believe. My family was very fortunate to have known him not only was he my daughters Godfather but an idol to my son. Steve u will greatly be missed and NEVER forgotten! We Love you always! To Steve's family-Steve was an incredible human being. I think we always wish to know that the world is a better place because we were in it. Steve definitely made the world a better place. I met Steve the day I interviewed and hired him for a job at Sooper Credit Union.  I knew he was very special from that moment on...his smile, genuine love for people (especially how proud he was of his family), and his excitement to serve others was wonderful. He certainly proved those traits throughout the years.  He was a dream employee, a special friend and a person that I will always think of when I tell my grandchildren what kind of people they should be.  He was the kindest person I have ever known.
