I’ve been trying to truly comprehend what is reality. I can’t say goodbye to you, as that seems so permanent. I refuse to believe that. This is I’ll see you later. Even though I know that I physically won’t see you anymore. You won’t be coming home from work to have dinner with mom & myself. I miss you so so much!! A part of me is gone, and that part of me is you. Cau Sang I miss & love you more than I can even put into words. I have so many fond memories with you. These memories will always live on within me. You taught me so many things...from learning how to rollerblade, catch a ball, to fish, when I bought my first car & so many other things. I remember going to Applewood video with you to visit one of your friends & just simply hang out & talk about the new releases etc. You always were one to ask how my day was. How work was, & I knew you meant it. The bond we have is unlike any other. Your opinion mattered to me next to my mom’s. I will miss our family dinners, the 3 of us. Whether it was cooking at the house or going out to eat & trying new places together. I will miss our movie nights we all had. I will miss watching football with you & chatting about my line up with my teams on fantasy football. I will miss your laugh, your smile, your energy & just YOU!! Life is dimmer now without your bright light. The time we had together wasn’t enough!! You were always there for me. You never judged me. You supported me in anything I did. I remember when I was a little thing & you had gotten a tattoo. You told me it was a temporary tattoo & to attempt to scratch it off. So I did, your arm got so red from me scratching. I looked at you so perplexed. You laughed, looked at me & said “Nope, Nga it’s real” I slapped your arm & wanted to know why you pulled that prank on me. There’s never enough time that I could’ve spent with you to make any of this ok. I know you’re no longer suffering. You’re with grandma & you’re watching over us. I love you Cau Sang!! Rest in paradise!

Cau Sang was the “cool” uncle in the family who would always spend time with the nephews and nieces. I will always look up to him and have fond memories of him. He taught us many games and kept up with the modern trends as well as be our guide to see or not see a new movie.  May he Rest In Peace and look after everyone.

My deepest condolences to Steve's family. I am heartbroken by his passing. I had the pleasure of working with Steve for 9 years. He was truly the best! His laugh would always make me smile. I will always treasure having him in my life. Rest In Peace Stevie ❤️

We worked for the same company for many years and I considered him a friend.   We worked out of two different stores, he was always available to me if I needed help with shipping or inventory.  I missed him when he left.  He was an amazing person.  To his family my prayers are with you 🙏 he will be missed.

I was fortunate to work with Steven for almost 9 years while selling  beautiful Jewelry/Gifts.
But, it was Steven who was a “gift” to all that worked with him. He was kind, caring and willing to help you no matter how busy he was. He made you feel like “your request” came first. You were confident when you left his office that your needs would be taken care of efficiently.  And, he always gave you a beautiful smile!
He was a “true Gem” and will be missed.

Chu sang always seemed to be a cool uncle, to me at least. He was quieter and I suppose less intense than the other aunts and uncles which was why I liked him. I wish I had more time to get to know him better than I do now. 

The fondest memories I ever had with Cau Sang were when we could play or talk about video games. Something I've cherished was back when he was looking for a new game to play, I suggested The Last of Us a game I had finished recently and thought he might be interested. At first he was a little hesitant because it would’ve been awhile before I saw the game again but I insisted he play it and that he would like it. From then on I remember always asking him whenever we were together if he was still playing, if he liked it, or what part he was on, and when he finally finished I remember being really happy when he said he loved it and asking if I had another game to spare.

Cau Sang was always the one to get the party started. Regardless of the occasion or if it was just a mundane Sunday visit to the family house, he was willing to ramp up the excitement, whether it was about video games, football, or even the newest movies hitting theaters. He may not be as vocally energetic as the rest of the aunties and uncles, but when it came to poker, you had best hope lady luck was on your side. Regardless, Cau Sang made everything fun. He played every game with us like it was poker. He knew his hand very well, and catches us all in our bluffs. And just when you think you won the game, he pulls a fast one on you, and you can’t help but laugh. If I could describe him in a unique way, that would be it. No matter what the game was, he taught us how life can be like poker, and that it was most important to have fun with it because that was how you got the most out of it. While it will be hard to grasp the reality of him passing, I will always cherish the moments we had when he was still here. He will forever be in all our hearts, and even though time was suddenly cut short, his spirit will carry on and watch over all of us. Who knows, the next time someone in our family decides to enter a poker tournament, they could be the next big winner on TV. I love you Cau Sang, and I will miss you every day. Rest in peace. <3

I’ve been trying to grasp reality but reality doesn’t even seem real to me. I keep thinking I will see you thanksgiving and get to rest my head on your shoulder after eating turkey like I do every year. I am so heartbroken yet angry because all I can say is WHY!! You were the most important male figure in my life right next to my pops. The bond you and I shared was unbreakable. Out of all nieces and nephews I was the first diaper you changed because my parents wanted to send me off to the baby sitters and you told them you wanted to baby sit me. I took my very first steps because of you, I could spot you anywhere in the room and I'd smile, you taught me all the cool dance moves; the Macarena, twist, YMCA.  I went everywhere with you and Ty Lisa, when I turned 18 you and Ty Lisa gifted me your 97 red Honda accord, my very first car for my birthday and anytime I needed you whether minor or serious, you were always there. I imagine the future and I always told myself I'd ask you to walk me down the aisle with my dad when the day comes that I get married but since our time has been cut short, I'll take every memory, laugh and conversation with you and cherish them and hold them in my heart forever. never will I forget you, never will I forget “Quyen noi noi noi,” never will I forget the sound of your laugh or the “Hi nguoi dep” greeting every time I saw you. I hope you are proud of who I am and more importantly the woman I am becoming. I love you so much. Rest in peace my favorite unc, fly high 

Everyone says a picture is a worth a thousand words. I wish there were more pictures of us together, but we must have thought alike as I did not like to take too many pictures. There are many memories that we have shared together and I was not able to pin point just one. I think my best memory would be all the road trips we took together as a family. You would drive one van and my dad the other. You would always remember if we stopped in Las Vegas at Tropicana, somehow someway I would always have to use the bathroom and well… never make it. I will miss the way I could rely on you to always make me laugh and just joke with. I will miss hearing the way you say “Le”. Time has been cut short for us, but you will forever be in my heart. I will cherish all of the memories we have had together. I love you so much!  May you rest in peace. 

I'm going to miss learning so many things from Cau Sang, but am so happy and grateful that I got to have as much time as I did with him learning everything that he had to show me. From teaching us all how to play cards during our long road trips to California, to teaching us how to play Mahjong, introducing me to video games, teaching me how to play poker with Chris, our early morning fishing trips, our late night drives to buy lottery tickets, and so much more. Cau Sang was more than an uncle to all of us, he is someone that we all learned from or are continuing to learn from. I don't have one specific memory to mention or talk about because we would be here all day going through all the great things I remember doing with him, instead I will remember all the wonderful things he showed me and taught me through our lives and teach that to my daughter. I believe in passing down these stories I'll be able to keep the memory of Cau Sang with me and be able to pay back a little bit of all that he did for me.

My condolences to the entire Nguyen family. Steve was such a beam of light daily regardless of what was going on. I’ll remember Steve’s bright smile and delightful laugh.  Always happy to give the shirt off his back for others. You will truly be missed, Rest In Peace my friend
