Thomas M. “Tom” Jones, 75, of Thornton, Colorado, passed away, Friday, May 3, 2013 at his home at Sunny Acres.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, May 10 at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, 7777 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033
Tom was born August 8, 1937 in Casper, Wyoming to Silas and Eunice Jones. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1955 and immediately enlisted in the Navy where he achieved the rank of Yeoman Second Class. After the Navy, he then returned home where he attended Casper College and the University of Wyoming. On December 22, 1963 he married Lucille Sasso in Casper. Tom was employed in the banking industry, and moved to Colorado in 1969. He helped to found Citizens Bank in Westminster and eventually became President until his retirement in 1999. He was a past member of the Westminster Rotary Club, and was very active in the community. He always enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Tom is survived by his son Tommy, his daughter Janet and his wife Lucille of Thornton, Colorado, six grandchildren, and nine great grand children.
