Ben passed away peacefully at his home in Denver Colorado on July 17, 2021 at the age of 91. He was with his family in his home of 53 years when he passed.
Ben was born in Fort Scott Kansas the first of seven children in 1930. He moved with his family to Guffey Colorado where he grew up ranching, hunting, and fishing. Ben graduated from Victor High School where he drove the school bus daily. He joined the United Stated Air Force in 1952 and received a honorable discharge in 1956.
Ben married the love of his life Patricia Warner in 1954. Ben and Pat lived in Tarryall Colorado where they operated a ranch and maintained cabins for hunting and fishing. They moved to the Denver Area in 1958 where they raised the family of three and a cared for foster son for several years.
Ben is proceeded in Death by his parents, John Vincent Pitt, Velma Lucille Rimby, Brothers John Pitt and Bill Pitt, and grandson Austin Pitt.
Survived by his wife Patricia (Warner) Pitt, Children Annette (Pitt) Losey, Robert Pitt (Adele), Susan (Pitt) Chavez, Grandchildren, Christopher Losey, Kimberly (Losey) Romero, Miriah Abram, Melinda Abram, Schuyler Pitt, Travis Pitt, Chad Chavez, Corbett Chavez, Tyler Chavez, Brady Chavez, Great Grand Children Ayla Pitt, Roan Pitt, Tatem Pitt, Pixie Chavez, Ryan Chavez, Mia Chavez, Hunter Romero, Cody Romero, Addison Romero, Erin Smith, Ashley Gazewood, Boston Smith, Jack Smith, Aleksander Smith.
