Gramma ~ I love you and hold on to happy memories of time spent with you these past (gulp) twenty years. 
You gave Emily a wonderful gift and that is to truly know who her great-gramma is.

While I have only come to know the Burger family recently, and don't have the history of knowing Mrs. Burger as many do here in this tribute book, I do know something about being part of a family raised by wonderful parents.  And something about the sadness that comes with losing both of your parents….. and the ability to reflect and recognize the gifts they have passed along to their children -- the next generation.  I can only imagine how proud Mrs. Burger was of her children – Carole, Nanci, and David – especially being she had the luxury of seeing each of them become independent, kind, generous adults and wonderful parents to a next generation of family.  And while each and every life has its share of challenges, regrets and pain, I have also heard many stories of your mom's bravery in facing times of trial and of her gifts of joyfulness, caring, and friendship – all characteristics that are easily seen in each of her children, each of her grandchildren.  There could be no better testament to her life and to her spirit than this.

Dear Grandma Snow White, I will forever remember your wonderful child like spirit when it came to surprises and presents!  :)  Your wonderful laugh and smile will be in my heart for eternity.  Much love to you always Mom, Brenda

Mom, although I know you haven't always liked to travel, at least this final journey you prepared for exceptionally well and you don't have to pack a thing.  Thank you for all the sacrifices you lovingly made and taking care of all of us so well.  Missing you already, Love, Carole

In your Bible I found a passage, 2nd Timothy 4:7-8:  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith;  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.  
I am sure the Lord has prepared a place for you and you are dancing with Virgil.

Grandma,Thank you for everything you have done for me throughout my life.I am a better person because of you and your "switchings".You lit the way for me as a child,and I hope you will light the way for me to see you again on the other side.I love you always and forever.
