Barbara Dawson, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Beloved mother of Elizabeth Freeman-Rogers and Kristy Powell. Bamere of Blake Freeman, Claire Freeman, Nick Powell, Jack Powell, and Dani Powell. We lost our loving, caring, amazing, do-anything-for-her-grandchildren, Bamere. She was strong willed loving, incredible mother and grandmother that developed the devastating disease, Dementia. Our mom/grandmother was our hero. She raised my sister and myself to be strong, independent women as she went back to school in her late thirties and got her Masters of Science degree with honors and became an MFCC where she helped countless people overcome their struggles. Outside of her number love for her family, her passion was traveling and meeting new people. She backpacked through Europe for three months by herself and hiked in Peru and the Amazon-fearless! She instilled in our family that we could do whatever we set our minds to. She will be missed beyond belief.
