

Christine Elaine Troger, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026. A resident of White Lake, Christine lived a life defined by compassion, kindness, and an unwavering love for others.
Born in Jerusalem to Glen and Kathryn Nelson, Christine carried warmth and generosity with her wherever she went. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome and valued , often becoming someone’s immediate best friend within moments of meeting them. Her caring spirit touched countless lives, and it was impossible to know Christine without feeling loved by her.
Christine devoted her life to helping others through her work as a nurse, serving patients and families with tenderness, patience, and grace. Caring for others was not simply her profession; it was the very heart of who she was.
She found great joy in traveling and experiencing the beauty of the world, especially during her cherished trips to Hawaii and Kenya. She was also an avid reader who could often be found with a good book in hand.
Above all else, family was everything to Christine. She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Charles; her sons, Daniel (Kim) and Mark (Aimee); and her treasured grandchildren: Claire, Jakob, Cicely, Luke, William, Owen, Jonas, Daniel, and Audrey. She is also survived by her siblings Karinjo, Alisa, Glen, and Trevor.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Kathryn Nelson, and her brother, Greg Nelson.
Her legacy of kindness, friendship, service, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
