Harold Cleon Sills

Harold C. Sills of Orchard Lake, passed away November 10, 2016 at 95 years of age. Beloved husband of Thelma. Loving father of Richard (Janice) Sills, Donna (Michael Sloneker) Sills, David (Kathy) Sills, Diane (Robert) Nancarrow, Sharon Rhea and Paula (Dave Richardson) Long. Treasured grandfather of Douglas, Dwayne, Erin, Ryan, Alexandria, Lindsay, Griffen, Scott, Ian, Colin, Derreck and Trever. Great grandfather of Andrew, Katie, Braydon, Archer, Clark, Tyler, Ethan and Natalie. Brother of Norma Simmons and Larry Sills. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Sadly he was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Ruth Sills and three brothers; C. Hubert, Carl and Billy Sills.

Mr. Sills had a passion for dancing, and enjoyed square dancing, Disco dancing and ballroom dancing. He loved family, working in his yard, gardening and traveling. He was a member of Orchard Lake Community Church Presbyterian, Fisher Body Tech Center Retirees, the B.P.O. Elks Club of Pontiac-Waterford the D.A.V. and was also a body design engineer for the Warren Tech Center for nearly 40 years. In his earlier days, he was a certified teacher sharing his knowledge of automotive engineering.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Orchard Lake Community Church Presbyterian, 5171 Commerce Road in West Bloomfield. The family will receive friends Monday from 2-8 pm at the White Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road and Tuesday at church from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Interment will take place at Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens in Novi. Memorial contributions suggested to Orchard Lake Community Church Presbyterian.
