Marie E. (Simmons) Colburn, age 30, passed away April 19, 2016. She was the precious daughter of James and Cynthia Simmons. She was the treasured niece of many aunts and uncles; however Aunt Lisa was like a second mother to her. Marie was preceded in death by her brother Eric in 2007. They were best friends and attended Baker College together. She was the adored granddaughter of Gail Simmons, Robert and Gloria Dawson, and Richard Simmons. Marie had a magical touch with animals and was the beloved owner of her cats Angel and Lily. She was a proud graduate of Lakeland High School and Baker College. Marie will be missed by many friends and family. Her favorite color was blue. We ask that those attending her service wear something blue. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 10:00am until the time of the memorial service at 4:00pm at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake. There will be a memorial luncheon afterwards at IHOP.
