Mary Katherine "Katie" Johnson

Mary Katherine “Katie” Johnson, age 86, passed away peacefully with family at her side on October 14, 2014. She was the Loving wife of the late Ross L. Johnson for over 65 years; Loving mother of “Tom” (Judy) Johnson, Sharon (Bruce) Zegerius, Kathy Johnson, Anne Marie (Gordon) Goodwin and Bill Johnson; Cherished grandmother of Cory Johnson, Kevin Zegerius, Angela Goodwin and Jake Goodwin. She was preceded in death by her sister Mozelle Cole.

Katie was a long time member of Mandon Lake Community Church. She was a White Lake Township Historian and co-author of the book “In Rememberance”. She was an active participant in the Fisk Farm which is part of the White Lake Historical Society. Katie was a piano teacher and was also very active in things such as the PTA, Cub Scouts and Sunday School while raising her family. She will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of

knowing her.

The visitation will take place at Elton Black and Son Funeral Home 1233 Union Lake Rd. White Lake, MI 48386 on Friday, October 17 from 2-8pm. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, October 18 at 12 pm with friends and family coming in at 11am.
