Richard Stanley Lipka, age 82, of West Bloomfield, died Friday, July 24, 2020 at his home. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Norma (Cooney) Lipka; his son, Ken (Becky) Lipka; his two grandchildren: Mikayla and Colton Lipka; his three sisters: Joan, Lorraine, and Carol; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Richard was born September 27, 1937, in Detroit, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Stanley and Helen (Czarnik) Lipka. After earning his bachelor's degree in engineering from Wayne State University, Richard began working as an engineering manager at Ford. He worked there for thirty years until his retirement in 1999. In his free time, Richard enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, and taking vacations and cruises with his wife, Norma. Richard was a very active member of the Orchard United Methodist Church in Farmington Hills for over forty years. He will be missed dearly.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Helen.
In accordance with Richard's wishes, cremation has taken place. No public funeral services have been scheduled.
