Ritchie Lee Berg, age 74, of Waterford Michigan, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on January 5, 2026. Ritchie lived a life rooted in hard work, laughter, and deep devotion to those he loved most.
After many years of skilled work as a glass glazer, Ritchie embraced retirement with the same enthusiasm he brought to everything he did. He was a devoted Detroit Lions fan, cheering them on through every season. He found peace in the simple joys of nature—watching deer wander by and feeding ducks whenever he had the chance. Some of his happiest times were spent four-wheeling up North through Copper Harbor, enjoying cabin vacations, and soaking in the quiet beauty of the outdoors.
Ritchie’s playful spirit was unmistakable. He had a soft spot for the Tasmanian Devil, Grumpy from the Seven Dwarfs, and Oscar the Grouch—characters that perfectly reflected his fun-loving, mischievous sense of humor. He was always joking around, quick with a smile, and could lighten any room he entered.
Above all else, Ritchie adored his family. He loved watching his children grow and take pride in building their own families, and his grandchildren were the light of his life. He cheered faithfully at his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, always their loudest supporter and biggest fan. His love, encouragement, and laughter will forever echo in the memories of those he leaves behind.
Ritchie will be remembered for his kind heart, his playful humor, and the deep love he shared so freely with his family. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love that will live on through all who were blessed to know him.
