Robert Geoffry Covington

Robert was born on December 4, 1949, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Basil and Lois Covington, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Jerri Patten, and his niece, Jeanine Patten.

He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Judy Covington; his niece, Jerolyn (Mark) Patten-Stover; his nephew, Bryan (Annie) Patten; and seven great-nieces and nephews, all of whom will cherish his memory.

Robert had a wide range of interests that reflected his commitment to challenge himself physically and intellectually. He enjoyed fishing, biking, and working out, and was known for his commitment to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He had a deep appreciation for classic rock music and was an avid sports fan. Professionally, Robert was a skilled engineer in the broadcasting field, dedicating much of his career to working with televisions and radios - an area in which he took great pride.

Robert will be deeply missed by his family and those who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Robert’s memory to a local no-kill animal shelter, honoring his compassion for animals.
