My great uncle Bob was great:)! He was one of the kindest, smartest, sweetest, and most interesting men I have ever known. At family gatherings he and I spoke of many things. However, mostly I will remember the passion he exuded when speaking of his family - his wife ( who I also remember as being extraordinarily kind & smiley) and kids (my wise older cousins:) and of invention. He struck me as a real dreamer and yet solidly grounded in practicality...an amazing combination. I will miss him dearly, especially when I recall our "date" @ The Boston Symphony Orchestra, he -like me- was a true romantic soul.
May he rest in eternal Peace.

 Bob had a relentlessly optimistic world view. His gentle humor and keen insight endeared him to all of us at the UU Fellowship he attended in Plymouth NH. The world is a better place for having had Bob in it. My condolences to the family.

I knew Bob in his later years when he lived in the Plymouth, NH area. He was a regular participant in our UU Fellowship, and he enjoyed his regular participation in small group discussions. I remember his enthusiasm and curiosity about nature, science, and the world. Although frail in later years, he relished telling stories of long hikes in the white mountains. He appreciated his garden and and the nature around him. He spoke with pride about his family . My thoughts are with you all now and in the coming weeks.

Despite knowing Bob only in his later years, which were often a challenge for him, as a member of our Starr King UU Fellowship in Plymouth, NH, I found him impressively full of projects and ideas. There was a display of his wonderful and varied art work once at the church which was also memorable. He seemed to have lived a good life, a productive life, a self-fulfilling life. And he kept pushing himself, even when there were all those physical challenges. He was an usually gifted spirit and an inspiration to many.
