Amparo Hernandez Ruiz, 91, of Wichita, Kansas went to be with the Lord peacefully on Saturday January 4, 2020 in Wichita, Kansas. Amparo was born the daughter of David and Soledad Ruiz on May 13, 1928 in Zacatecas, Mexico. Amparo and Jose Hernandez were married, he passed away 2008. Amparito fue un regalo de Dios para nosotros. Quien paso por nuestra vida y dejo Luz, ha de resplandecer en nuestra alma para toda la eternidad. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children; Luz Maria and Alicia. Survivors include her children; Antonio, Bertha, Jose De Jesus, Irma, Ezequiel, Guadalupe, Javier, Rosa and many grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday January 6, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday January 7, 2020 from 1 to 5pm at Hillside Funeral Home West, 2929 W. 13th St., Wichita, KS. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 7, 2020 at St. Mary's Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 430 S. Broadway, Wichita, KS. Mass service will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday January 8, 2020 at St. Mary's Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 1640 N. Maize Rd., Wichita, KS.
