Dorothy Faye Barger

Dorothy Faye “Dot” Barger., 89 retired mom, grandmother, and dedicated servant went home to the Lord with celebration due to a longtime illness and complications. Dorothy was born on Oct. 24, 1924 in Coffeeville, KS to Marion & Sarah Bladon and attended all schools there, played violin and piano at an early age. She married to Harold L. Barger Oct. 4, 1943 in Coffeeville, KS. She retired as a Cafeteria Worker at Jardine Middle School & USD 259 in 1989. She also played the church organ for over 20 years for services, alter calls, weddings, funerals, plays, revivals and any other time if asked. She was a dedicated servant who loved the Lord, and had a servants heart. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Harold Barger, son, Randy A. Barger, sisters, Galdys Bladon, Nora Brace. Survived by her son, Gary (Yvonne) Barger, sister, Wilma Peebler, grandchildren; Devon (Deanne) Barger, Melanine Barger, Jerrod Barger, Brandon Barger, Ashley Barger; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Taylor Barger. Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 at Bethel Life Church, 3777 S. Meridian Ave Wichita. Burial will follow at Resthaven Garden of Memory.
