Edith D. Prosser

Edith Darlene Prosser passed away on January 28, 2026, at the age of 84. Darlene was a resident of Wichita, Kansas, and a lifelong native of Kansas, having been born at Fort Riley on December 20, 1941 to Charles and Phylana (Smith) Wilmot.

Darlene was a beloved mom, grandma, and great-grandma, and she loved Jesus. She taught her kids how to speak up. She loved animals, and helped her grandkids rescue many. She also loved art. She was an artist herself, and loved painting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Richard Prosser II; her parents; daughter, Mary Belle Prosser Davis; and her sister, Patricia Warden.

She is survived by her children, Arthur Prosser III, Allison Shellman, Lana Meuli, Ruthie Prosser, and David Prosser; grandchildren, Amber Moody, Curtis Moody, Ian Moody, Terra Ozanne, Kayla Davis, Trinity Davis, Janessa Meuli, Brittany Carson, Michael Abbey, Paige Miller, Alyssa Shellman, Raymond Shellman, Joshua Shellman, Maximus Shellman, Brylee Prosser, Arabella Prosser-Ficarra, Vincent Prosser-Ficarra, Emara Prosser-Ficarra, and Marnie Prosser-Ficarra; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Darlene will take place on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 4-7 PM at Hillside Funeral Home West, located at 2929 West 13th Street North. Her funeral service will be Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Glenville Baptist Church at 2:00 PM, 4604 S. Seneca St., Wichita, KS 67217. Committal will follow at Seltzer Cemetery.
