Evelio S. Najera

Evelio S. Najera, 86, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at his home in Wichita surrounded by love ones. Evelio was born the son of Raymundo and Guadalupe Najera on December 16, 1934 in Durango, Mexico. Evelio and Evelia Najera were united in marriage. Evelio was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. Evelio was outgoing and formed a lot of lasting friendships during his time. Providing for his family was always his top priority. He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Rey Najera, sisters; Sofia, Elvira and an infant grandchild. Survivors include his loving wife; Evelia Najera, children; Ubaldo (Maria) Najera, Evelio (Yolanda) Najera, Jr., Elma (Antonino) Najera, Amalio Najera, Carlos Najera, Arnoldo (Paty) Najera, siblings; Ubaldo, Mario, Juventino, Jaime, Juan, Estela, Berta, Alicia, Anita, Livia, many Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren,1 Great Great-Granddaughter and many extended family. Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm on Friday November 19, 2021 at Hillside Funeral Home, 2929 W. 13th St. N., Wichita. Rosary will be 9:30am on Saturday November 20, 2021 with Mass to follow at 10am both at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 2007 N. Arkansas, Wichita. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Wichita, Kansas.
