Dean was born on November 7, 1938 in Wichita, the son of John Herman and Carmen Rose (Hamit) Klein.
He retired from the Wichita Fire Department and later joined the Boeing Aircraft Company fire department.
He was united in marriage to Janice Drouhard on August 12, 1961 at the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Danville, KS.
Preceding Dean in death are his parents, his wife Janice in 2001, and his brother Theodore Charles Klein.
Surviving family and friends include his longtime companion Judith Swisher, and many cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Danville, KS.
A rosary will be said one hour prior to the service at the church.
