Norma was born on November 3, 1925 in Elk Falls, Kansas. She went to be with Jesus on October 2, 2022 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 96. She is survived by 3 of her six children-William Bennett Dorsey, Sharon Kaye Kinkaid and Jerry Dean Dorsey. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William James Dorsey; two sons, Robert James Dorsey and Jimmie Carl Dorsey as well as a daughter, Cinda Gale Rowe. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives. She loved them all and made sure they were all included. As a woman of faith the Lord she provided loving support and prayer for all of her family members. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and made delicious meals. Among her other talents, she liked to paint art on canvas and we are the recipients of her artistic endeavors. She loved to see flowers growing in her garden and in her home. Among other things she canned food, crocheted, colored pictures, knitted, made clothes with a sewing machine and fried bacon at the same time!
On a personal note from her children, we can say, she sacrificed to make sure we had clothes to wear and food to eat. On Sundays she would make sure we went to Sunday School and Church. In the evenings she would have us gather around the bedside as she read the Bible to us and had us memorize scriptures and pray together. What a legacy of love she leaves behind!
