George E. Tuttle Sr., 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Lucille (Beausoleil) Tuttle for 63 years.

Born in Waterbury on October 15, 1928, he was the son of the late Jay and Helen (Petit) Tuttle.

He has been a Wolcott resident since 1953 and a parishioner of St Pius X Church and St Maria Goretti Church.

George proudly served as a Firemen Apprentice in the U S Navy WWII. In his youth he was an avid football guard with the Hopeville Eagles. He was an employee of Scoville Mfg. and Century Brass and was sole owner of Tuttle Machine. He enjoyed woodworking in his later years.

He is survived by his children, George Jr. and his wife Madonna Tuttle of Farmington, Donna Recor of Canton, James and his wife Colleen Tuttle of Wolcott, Richard and his wife Ruby Tuttle of North Kingstown RI and a sister Marge Reichenback-Goad.

He will also be deeply missed by his ten grandchildren, Nathan and his wife Rebecca Tuttle of Unionville, Jordan Tuttle of Wallingford, Liza Tuttle and wife Ashley Ziemba of Chicopee, MA, George and his wife Jennifer Recor of Unionville, Gina Jones of Oroville, CA, Lindsay and her husband Carlos Neto of Harwinton, Brittany and her husband Steve Mirto of Wolcott, Mackenzie Tuttle of Southington, Rachel and her husband Jose Fernandez of Carnegie, PA and Riley Tuttle of N. Kingston, RI.

Great grandchildren Nicholas, Lillian, and Emilia Tuttle and Ayva Haase, Maddy and Jack Mirto, Remi Neto and Mason Recor.

He was predeceased by his two brothers, Buddy and Warren Tuttle.

We are thankful to George's devoted Caregiver “Martin” for his invaluable services, his joyful, kind spirit and the love he provided daily.

His funeral will be Friday, November 12 at 9:15am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 690 Woodtick Rd., Wolcott to St Pius X Church for Mass at 10am. Burial will follow in St James Cemetery in Naugatuck. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7pm. For online condolences and directions lease visit,
