Esther was born on February 10, 1943, in Shafter, Texas, to Jesus and Gregoria Beltran. She grew up in Odessa, Texas, and later met the love of her life, Raymond. The two were married in Odessa, Texas, on February 27, 1965. The couple moved to Westbrook, Texas, and raised their family.
Esther worked as a custodian for Westbrook ISD for 24 years before retiring.
She was a quiet person, but it was worth setting up and listening to when she did talk. She helped raise her nieces and nephews and loved them as much as her own, with an open home and a warm meal for anyone that needed it. Because of that, she was known as an excellent cook. Esther was the epitome of a Mother and Grandmother, her family always came first, and they were her pride and joy. The deep love and desire to be there for her family lasted until her final breath. Even leaving a loving note letting them know how blessed she was to have had them all in her life.
Esther is survived by her husband of 56 years, Raymond. Her Son Raymond Vigil Jr. and wife Betty of Westbrook, Daughters Lydia Hollister and husband Jeff of Littlefield, and Joann Barrera of Colorado City. Granddaughters Alex Futrelle and Husband Jonathan of Big Spring. Victoria Vigil of Big Spring, Skylar, and Hannah Hollister of Littlefield. Grandsons David and Daniel Vigil of Westbrook, and two Great-Grandchildren Logan and Kynnedy Futrelle of Big Spring. Sisters Mary-Lou Lujan and Maria Calderon, both of Odessa and Julia Rodriguez of Post and a Brother Robert Carter of Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Gregoria Beltran, Sister Gloria Beltran, and Brother Faustino Beltran.
