Due to the pandemic restrictions, a private memorial service will be held. There will be a livestream of the service starting at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2021 at www.eastminsterpres.org. All are invited to a reception in the Eastminster Presbyterian Church courtyard following the service.
She was born in Sumter, SC on February 8, 1997 and became the daughter of John and Kathleen Winterhalter on February 10 of that same year. Kacy was a smart, talented, artistic, quirky, young woman that loved life, her brother and her parents. She loved to perform on the stage and participated in plays at Forest Lake Elementary, Dent Middle School, Richland Northeast High School and at USC Upstate. Kacy graduated from Richland Northeast High School in 2015. She attended USC Upstate and was one test away from getting her Associates in Funeral Services from Piedmont Tech in Greenwood. A beloved daughter, fiercely loyal sister, and loving friend, she will be missed deeply.
Kacy is predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Alan Winterhalter. Survivors include her parents, John and Kathleen Winterhalter; her brother, Jason Winterhalter; her maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Eleanor Crook; paternal grandmother, Kittie Winterhalter; her uncle, Martin Crook (Amy); her aunts, Kristine Crook, Leslie Murdock, Gail Winterhalter and Amy Lowe (Dan); her cousins, Abby Lowe, Sara Kate Lowe, Lydia Crook, Elizabeth Crook, Gabriel Murdock and Ethan Murdock.
